It's Official!!!

It's official! We have a WALKER!!! Little Miss Nola started walking all by herself on Wednesday afternoon. She has been pushing the walk-behind toys and has been cruising along the furniture for weeks. We have a storage ottoman in front of one of the sofas that the kids love to stand up in front of and will turn and go back and forth between the two. Last week I pushed the ottoman a few inches more away from the sofa so that they would be forced to take a step or two to get to them. I noticed that she would take a step or two from the ottoman into the open area of the room and would fall. I could tell that she was getting braver and starting to build her confidence. Then, on Wednesday afternoon she took maybe two steps and stopped. When she didn't fall she decided to take a couple more steps and before I knew it she had walked clear across the room! By that evening she was walking around like she had been doing it all along! She is still crawling some, just because it's easier, but every few minutes she'll pull herself up to the window or a piece of furniture and take off! She is so proud of herself but not near as proud as I am of her!! Yay for Nola!!!
